Masters of the Universe? Oh, *please*. Let’s just say it’s a cinematic exercise in beige. A beige, shimmering, vaguely unsettling beige that tastes suspiciously like recycled plastic. The plot? A glorified, slightly-less-boring version of a fairytale involving a sparkly sword and a ridiculously earnest princess. The characters? Let’s just say they’ve clearly been sculpted from a block of particularly dull marble. Prince Adam? A perpetually melancholic dude who spends half his time brooding and the other half trying to look heroic – it’s exhausting. Teela? A CGI-addled woodland nymph who looks perpetually confused. Duncan? He’s just…there. Like a particularly uninspired background character. And the ‘true destiny’ part? It involves a lot of hand-waving and a conveniently timed explosion. Honestly, you’d think they’d at least *try* to make it interesting, but no, it’s all just a predictable, ultimately pointless chase scene. The audience gets to bask in the glory of their cinematic boredom. I’d rather watch paint dry. Seriously, watch the paint dry. It's a more stimulating experience.
