MARV Review

Scream 7? Please. It’s less a film and more a meticulously crafted monument to cinematic boredom. A kid, a ghost, and a whole lot of predictable, painfully obvious trauma. The plot? A slightly more convoluted version of ‘The Last of Us’ – which, frankly, is a depressing understatement. The characters? Let’s just say they’ve been meticulously sculpted with the same agonizing precision used to carve a particularly dull cheese. Sidney’s ‘darkest fears’ are reduced to a lukewarm puddle of existential dread, and the ‘ghost’ is a particularly flamboyant shade of beige. The audience, bless their hearts, are invited to suffer through this prolonged exercise in watching things happen. It’s like watching a particularly dull episode of ‘The Office’ where the jokes are delivered with the enthusiasm of a tax auditor. Seriously, I’ve seen more engaging reality TV. Don’t expect any genuine scares. Expect a mild headache and a lingering feeling that you wasted two hours of your life. 4 stars? Maybe. If you’re looking for a cinematic experience, go watch paint dry.
